The main event for the January 27th Spartyka Fight League 32 card is set, as both debuting pro, Mitch Aguiar and his opponent, Brandon Pennington weighed in at an even 170 pounds, for their Welterweight bout. Spartyka Fight League will be making their first foray into the pro fight game with their first pro/am event, at the Ted Constant Convocation Center, in Norfolk, VA. Both Aguiar and Pennington held championship gold during their amateur careers, with Spartyka. Now, the two former Champions will face off, with Pennington eager to welcome "The Smashin' Frog" to the ranks of the professionals, where Pennington has 3 times the fight experience. Aguiar, a U.S. Navy Seal and never one to back away from a challenge, welcomes the scrap and looks to be well prepared.
Two more pro bouts were locked in, with Thomas Blair, another former Spartyka amateur Champion and Chesapeake, VA native will show some Southern hospitality to his opponent from Northern Virginia, Alexander Olave. This is a bout that Olave has wanted for quite some time and will hope to derail the undefeated Blair. This bout will be contested at a Catchweight of 150 pounds. Two more fighters will be making their pro debuts as Bruce Abramski and Brad Lawrence will lock horns, at a catchweight of 175 pounds.
A fourth pro fight between Sam Eure and Roy Smith is still scheduled, however Smith did not show up to weigh in and may do so tomorrow. Eure, however, showed up early and easily met the weight requirement for their Welterweight bout, as he weighed in at an even 169 pounds.
There are also 14 amateur fights that are confirmed. As always, the fight card is subject to change, but here is the full lineup, as it stands currently, with the official fighter weights of those that weighed in.
