Spartyka Fight League to Co-Host Event with GLORY on Feb. 6, 2015

by Felix Falcon

News came out today that Spartkya Fight League will be co-hosting an event with GLORY, an international Kickboxing promotion that has recently started airing their matches on Spike TV, on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Hampton Coliseum

We reached out to Jimi Partyka, founder of the Spartyka Foundation, for some details.

The event, which will replace the card SFL had originally planned for the next day, will showcase MMA bouts during the undercard and will end with four kickboxing matches labeled GLORY 19: VERHOEVEN vs. ZIMMERMAN live on Spike TV.

The Headline bout will be between Rico Verhoeven (44-9-10, 23 KO’s) and Errol Zimmerman (103-11-1, 44 KO’s) for Verhoeven's GLORY WORLD Heavyweight Championship title.

One of the three remaining kickboxing bouts will be a military match, which Mr. Partyka himself will be matchmaking.

There are no details on which fighters will be facing off on the undercard MMA bouts yet, but we have confirmed that the fights will take place in the GLORY ring and not in a separate cage, which will be an interesting twist for both the audience as well as most fighters.

Tickets for the event will go on sale Christmas Eve, Wednesday December 24, via Ticketmaster.com
