On Tap: The Victorium - Episode III

The next installment of the Victorium will be happening in Hayes, Virginia on July 12, 2014 at the Abingdon Ruritan Center

The Victorium – Episode III will be an all pro show with a sizeable card full of recognizable Virginia fighters.

The Featured bout will be between Dustin Pague (11-9) and D’Juan Owens (9-7-1)

Pague is a veteran who has spent the last  three years fighting for the UFC. He is most notably known for being a competitor on the 14th season of the UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter TV show. Owens, on the other hand, has won 2 of his last 3 bouts and is coming off an impressive win over Ran Weathers, a veteran in his own right with 34 fights under his belt. A collision between these two seasoned fighters should make for a very entertaining fight.

Other notable fights include Bellator vet Brett Glass (3-1) vs. Jon Hughes (2-3), 50 year old heavyweight Anthony Horn (3-7)  vs. Bobby Sopko (0-2), recent VCSS KO of the Night winner Elder Ramos (6-5) vs. Mark Strickland (2-0), Hometown fighter Dusty Shaw (1-1) vs. Kyle Newson (2-3), and a fight between two young pros each coming off remarkable performances –Kenny Gaudreau (4-1) vs. Alan Stephenson (1-0) among many others.

It looks like matchmaker David Arvelo, of The Doombeard Report, has been able to put together a card that features fighters/schools/gyms from all over Virginia and beyond with great care and should provide constant action throughout.

Giovanni Lemm, a former fighter and now owner of the promotion, will be announcing and performing post fight interviews among all his other duties throughout the night.

The doors will open at 6 pm, the fights will start at 7 pm, and we will be there covering all the action and updating live results on Facebook.

For further info you can go to the promotion’s website or keep up to date with any card changes/future events on their Facebook page.
